SD-88 CHOCTAW SHOCK TUBE INITIATOR

The SD-88 is a patented shock tube initiator that utilizes an electric blasting machine.
This starter converts electric blasting machines for those situations that would prohibit electric firing.
Spring loaded quick connect terminals allow attaching the device to any blasting machine. (4 w/s minimum)
A shot shell primer is used to initiate the shock tube.

Safety
Low energy shot shell primers are much less powerful than electric blasting caps.
Shot shell primers are not required to be stored in explosive magazines.
S
tate and federal laws do not strictly regulate shot shell primers.
Extends the stand off distance from the blast for the operator while decreasing tubing usage.
This initiator is radio frequency and stray current immune. (requires a several w/s pulse to fire)
The initiator may be placed up to 1500 feet from the blaster. (minimum 10 w/s recommended)

Cost Effective:  The SD-88 minimizes needless waste of shock tubing by extending stand off distances electrically when permissible. Shot shell primers cost much less than electric blasting caps. Significant savings can be achieved from conventional blasting methods and the device will pay for itself.
