SD-88 CHOCTAW SHOCKTUBE INITIATOR
The SD-88 electric/non-electric starter housing unit utilizes
a remote initiator to fire a “shot shell” primer which ignites shocktube.
Safety: Places the blaster farther away from the blast and
less prone to injury from fly rock. Low energy shot shell primers are
1/100th less powerful than electric blasting caps. Shot
shell primers are not required to be stored in explosive magazines.
Nor do state and federal laws strictly regulate them. The SD-88 is
radio frequency and stray current immune in the non-electric mode.
The shot shell initiator may be placed up to 1500 feet from the blaster.
Cost Effective: Shot shell primer cost approximately
five cents vs. nearly two dollars per blasting cap. Minimizes needless
waste of shocktube. Saving up to 70% can be achieved vs. conventional
blasting methods.
Weight: 2lbs., 14 oz.
Size: 7”x3”x3.5”
Warranty: The SD-88 carries a one year warranty from date of
original purchase.
