This latest model of the SD-500 series uses VHF/UHF communications to provide stand off distance of up to 5 miles between blaster and the explosive charge.  The KODIAK provides multiple code combinations set by the blaster that restricts access to the system, and virtually eliminates the possibility of premature detonation.
